Today is a great day for realising all that you have in your life. It may have been staring you in the face for weeks or even years but now you can see things as they really are. The rose tinted glasses have come off and you can really see situation, people and events for their true colours.

Sometimes it’s sad to find things aren’t really how you’ve perceived them but don’t let unhappiness cloud today because it’s time for re-invention and moving forward. Release the past and start fresh. This means paying off old debts, taking responsibility for your life and stop blaming or judging others.

At work you may find yourself having to take responsibility for projects that may not have gone to plan. If things went wrong and you played a part in it then admit your mistakes rather than trying to cover them up. Being open and honest is your best policy today.

The Fool is the very first card of the Tarot deck and at it’s very essence is about doing new things. Very often we get stuck in routines and old patterns which no longer suit us but we hold on to them just because they bring us safety. This card is about mixing it up a bit and perhaps doing something a little daring!

At work there may be new opportunities open to you but you may feel out of your depth as it will mean being thrown into the deep end – new skills to learn, new people to meet and new ways of doing things. Think carefully before letting the jitters get the better of you as it could be just what you need. With this energy about you may also want to consider if it’s time for you to move onto something new – either a new position or a new career completely. Ask yourself what your job is giving you – do you feel fulfilled, happy and content? If not, then that’s your cue to consider a change.

In relationships it’s a positive time if you’re single. New love may be just around the corner but again you’ll need take a chance on a new person – he or she may not be your ‘normal’ type or there may be complications to getting involved. If you’re already with a partner expect a renewed energy to enter your life.

The card I’ve drawn today is the 6 of Pentacles. This card deals with charitable causes, giving things away, accepting help and being compassionate.

When this card appears in a reading it shows the need of both being charitable to others and being gracious enough to accept help with offered.

These days our lives are very busy, sometimes insanely so, and we don’t reach out to our fellow man (or woman) as often as we should. So today, keep in mind that you may be called to act kindly to someone even though your first reaction may be to walk away. Resist the urge and extend some kindness – this may be throwing a few coins to a homeless person, helping an older person with groceries or giving financial support to someone whose need is greater than yours.

If you are in need of support then don’t be surprised if help finds you today. The energy of today isn’t about pride but about accepting assistance when it’s offered in a gracious manner. If someone wants to help you then let them.

The card I’ve drawn today is The Lovers. This card is one of the major arcane and shows strong energy circling today. The keywords for the Lovers are decisions, choices and connections.

When the Lovers card is mentioned usually images of perfect bliss with a partner come to mind but usually there is a meaning of choice surrounding the card. More often than not though it does involve your love life.

If you’re currently out of a relationship then it could be an indicator that your soulmate is nearby so you should be on the look out for your ideal partner. However, soulmate relationships don’t come without a price – you will need to be ready to make sacrifices to make the relationship work.

Things won’t be moving as quickly as you’d like – when this happens there’s always a temptation to get frustrated but the lesson of this card is patience. We don’t do ‘patience’ very well in modern day society so you may find the energy of today testing your limits!

With the energy of the Chariot it’s an excellent time to take a look at your life and work out where you need to take control back. This card shows an areas (or there could be several) where you’ve been lax and now you find yourself hurtling towards chaos. Don’t fret! Things haven’t gone so far that you can’t regain the balance in your life but you shouldn’t leave it any longer before doing something about it. This could be a relationship spiralling into disaster, a job that’s got too much for you or even something as simple as that pile of ironing which threatens to overtake the rest of the house!

The card I’ve drawn today is the Page of Pentacles. This card is one of the court cards and can be read either as another person in your life or the energy that you need to take on today. For this reading I’m interpreting the Page of Pentacles as the latter.

This page is the chid like personality of the Earth element. He or she is an avid learner and leans towards being outdoors. This is the child you’ll find in the garden covered in mud rescuing worms!

There is a very gentle energy with this Page. There is all the potential in the world to be had but it’s a slow movement. One foot at a time, plodding along.

For today, you need to embrace this slow moving, but often methodical, energy. If you have projects you need to complete do so at your own pace – don’t be pressurised into going faster than you want. You’ll make mistakes or not complete the task as thoroughly as you’d like.
