I’m very fortunate to have been born into a very open family. Though neither of my parents had any occult affiliations, they believed in the power of the mind and that there are no limitations of what a person can accomplish. This way of looking at the world allowed them to be supportive of me as I began to follow a magickal path from a very early age.
At five years of age I received my first book of Arthurian legends. From the minute I opened it and began to read about Merlin the wizard I wanted only to become like him. To heal, to teach, and to make a difference in the world by making use of all the wonderful magick that surrounds us every second. The Universe heard my desires and opened my eyes to the worlds of the spirits.
At first it was a bit unsettling, but with time and practice I learned to open and close my senses so I could live a normal life along with my magickal one.
In high school I took my subjects, wrestled, did martial arts, and played water polo by day and studied any magick books I could get my hands on by night. Of course in those days where I grew up magick wasn’t so easily tolerated. So, getting magickal books and finding a quiet place to devour them was often a challenge. However, the glorious Universe always provided and I grew in skills.
After high school I went to university and studied religions. I’ve always been fascinated about all the ways that people see and react with the divine. It was during this early phase that I made two of my biggest mistakes. I married a girl who wasn’t a good match and I accepted a postion as an assistant pastor. In both cases I went against my intuition and I paid very high prices. The dogma of the church soured me on serving the divine and my wife and I saw the world through such different eyes that we made each other miserable until we had the good sense to call it quits after fifteen years of trying everything.
For awhile I took whatever jobs I could find to make ends meat and tried desperately to hide away. I might have given up on the Universe but it hadn’t given up on me. The spirits continued to speak to me and I’d dream of counseling and healing people at night when I tried to sleep. And mixed in those dreams was always the figure of Merlin.
After some time, I grew tired of how I was living and I decided to join the American Tarot Association and do free e-mail Tarot readings for their networks. In this way I figured I could use some of my old magick whilst staying mostly anonymous.
Little did I know the Universe had much bigger plans for me. Through a reading I gave I met Lyn. We both felt we were meant to be together almost from day 1. After a short time I came and spent 1o days with her so we could both be sure. The chemistry was amazing, when I returned home from holiday I settled my affairs in America and moved to England. 7 months later we became husband and wife.
In addition to getting married I earned a degree in hypnosis and started a Tarot reading and consultation business. Though I get all of my messages directly from the spirits I’ve found presenting a client with a Tarot reading helps the person to take them in more comfortably than when I just act as a medium.
Life has never been better. I’ve become what I dreamed of as a child. I’m a wizard who teaches and heals for a living. I meet wonderful people all the time and every minute of my life is magickal.
Because I’m dedicated to spending as much time with my family as possible I’ve chosen to work from home and primarily provide my Tarot readings and consultations via email. And I’m pleased to say this arrangement has really worked well for all concerned.
